Relaxation Massage

60 minutes: $75

This will be a very relaxing and therapeutic session with emphasis on flow and connection. It is done using oils or lotion applied directly on the skin with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help improve circulation in the body and induce relaxation. Clients undress and are draped with a sheet throughout the treatment. The benefits of this type of this bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress and tension, enhanced mental clarity, improved movement and mood. I will focus on releasing adhesions in tissues and promoting blood and energy flow. This stimulation is both relaxing for the mind, soothing for the body's endocrine system, and bathes the body in nutrients.

A great way to bring awareness to one's body and give yourself some nurturing attention. A proven way to restore and rejuvenate!

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $85

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. It is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

This session will integrate Swedish massage techniques with more specific work in problem areas including trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques, range of motion and stretching.  Client feedback and sometimes active participation is key to providing this type of specialized work.

Keep in mind that you may be sore the next day, similar to having exercised. To help the body to recover after the session, please drink extra water, as you should after any type of bodywork. You can also take an Epsom salt bath or apply heat to sore areas.

Assessment of all the layers of tissue are necessary to thoroughly treat the body in a holistic sense and to create lasting changes. I usually warm up the muscles significantly so that the work can be deep but not invasive, and working this way people often do not experience significant soreness.

Pregnancy Massage

60 minutes: $75

Pregnancy Massage is bodywork that is adapted specifically for pregnant women. The session will accommodate the physical changes and employ precautions specific to the stages of pregnancy.

Pregnancy Massage helps to relieve pain and discomfort due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improve breathing and relaxation. If you are considered a high-risk pregnancy please discuss with your health care provider if massage is suitable for you, and ask about any extra precautions that should be taken.

This is a great way to care for yourself and prepare for the new role your body has taken on!

Acupressure

60 minutes: $75

Like other styles of bodywork, the goal of acupressure is to relieve stress and improve health in the body and mind.

Acupressure is based on ancient principles of healing and the system of energetic meridians developed by Traditional Chinese Medicine. In an acupressure session, you will remain clothed and I will apply pressure with my hands and other parts of my body along the meridians, as well as perform stretching techniques and joint mobilization.

You will find that you feel more balanced in body and mind, less muscle tension and will enjoy all the benefits of massage including improved circulation and relaxation.

It is done while you are fully clothed, so loose-fitting clothing is best.

Chair Massage

2 hours: $120

I have provided on-site chair massage at corporate events, in workplaces, at schools, at outdoor fairs, as well as charity events and fundraisers. I bring a massage chair and all supplies needed.

The price is $60 per hour and I can provide 2-6 hours in a day. It is often possible for me to find additional therapists if massage needs to be provided for a larger group. Each session is usually 10-20 minutes long, depending on how many people will need to receive a massage at the event.

With chair massage you can relieve stress and release tension right at your event or workplace. It has all the health benefits of massage in an easy-to-access setting. It is a great way to show workplace appreciation, and is often provided as part of holiday celebrations or employee appreciation programs.
